About

Ian Scott Kettle

Ian graduated of Saint Martins and The Royal College of Art. A London-based artist and bespoke maker of mens accessories & fibre art hangings.

CRAFT
The work is informed by rescaling cutting and tailoring to redefine the craft of cloth-based accessories, inspired by the origins and purposes of men's cloth accessories from the 11th to the 20th century, and how they could be reconsidered for today.

TEACHING
A well-respected and inspiring teacher, Ian has taught research and design at Central Saint Martins for over twenty years, while lectures internationally, setting up and delivering courses internationally.

SUSTAINABILITY
All products are made-to-order, reducing the risk of wastage from over-stocking. 90% of my cloth is (UK) sourced.

“Each piece I make is based on traditional bespoke cutting and construction. Everything is hand made in the studio from the finest materials.”
