Job description
Cockpit is looking for a Creative Business Coach to join our Business Incubation Team. This is a part-time permanent contract.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days per week
Salary: £38,000 per annum pro rata
Reports to: Head of Business Incubation
Works with: Business Incubation Programme Manager, Programme Coordinator, Awards & Admissions Coordinator
Cockpit is a centre of excellence in craft and home to over 175 of the world’s finest makers. Established in 1986, Cockpit is a registered charity and an award-winning social enterprise. Cockpit provides business support and dedicated studio space to enable makers to make the most of their talent. With an international reputation for excellence, Cockpit is proud to have launched the careers of many of the leading names in contemporary craft.
As a key member of the Business Incubation Team, this role will deliver one-to-one coaching to craft and creative businesses, principally individual practitioners and sole traders, based both at Cockpit’s studios and outside. The role will also support delivery of business training workshops.
You’ll be an experienced coach, enthusiastic about helping talented people to achieve their potential, creatively and commercially. We don’t need you to have a background in craft or design, but ideally you’ll have experience in the creative industries and a passion for creative enterprise.
You’ll be an excellent team player, with a highly professional approach and a focus on excellent delivery. A commitment to inclusion and diversity is essential, as is understanding the barriers that can face creative people in developing their practice or business.
To apply, please submit a CV along with a covering letter outlining your interest in Cockpit, this post and how your skills and experience fulfil the job description.
