An exhibition co-curated by Dr Elizabeth Goring and Gregory Parsons at Ruthin.
The curators believe, one-of-a kind jewellery has attained an exciting level of excellence: something of a Golden Age, worthy of celebration.
“Jewellery Now: The Curators’ Edit will illustrate the range of materials and processes jewellers are using today, as well as the ethical and environmental concerns so strongly influencing current practice. The curators have selected around 50 highly accomplished and interesting jewellers from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, working at a range of levels from the most experienced to those making exceptional work in the early stages of their careers. “
Five Cockpit makers will be featured in this curated showcase of hand-crafted designer made jewellery:
- Ute Decker – who will be present for the Private View on Saturday 5 July
- Mark Nuell
- Castro Smith
- Samuel Waterhouse
- Yen Duong
