Discover Majeda Clarke's award-winning blankets
Majeda Clarke‘s The Explorer Palette blanket collection has been selected as the winner of the prestigious Livingetc Style Award for Accessories: Soft Furnishing.
The collection is inspired by extraordinary female explorers and their sketchbooks, evoking the watercolours they used to record their expeditions. The tonal palette reflects the limited colour range that could be carried in the harsh environments, resulting in the subtle layered hues seen throughout the designs.

Kamilah Ahmed brings embroidery to Penhaligon's Kings Road
Cockpit embroidery artist Kamilah Ahmed is one of three QEST Alumni featured in Penhaligon’s ‘The Things Between Us’ installation at their Kings Road boutique.
The British perfume house has transformed part of the boutique into a gallery space, where art, objects, and interiors are brought into conversation with each other. As the first in a new series of curated installations, the project explores how the objects we choose to live with gather meaning over time and shape our feeling of home through memory, use, and presence.

Mark Nuell's family story — told through gems
Cockpit jeweller Mark Nuell returns to his family home of Rubyvale, Australia this month to celebrate the launch of his mother Shirley’s memoir, A Gem of a Life: The Nuells of Mills Gully, where he will exhibit a selection of his jewellery alongside local gemcutters and jewellers.
The book traces the Nuell family’s journey to the Central Queensland Gemfields in the late 1960s, where they mined sapphires and became part of a community shaped by the search for precious stones. More than 40 years after leaving, Mark’s return to Rubyvale is a special opportunity to share his world-renowned work where the story began.

Yen opens the door for the next generation of jewellers
After 30 years as a Cockpit maker, jeweller Yen Duong is opening the doors to her new Supported Studio Programme, welcoming applications from emerging makers looking to develop their practice.
Based in her new purpose-built studio at Cockpit Bloomsbury, Yen will offer subsidised studio space, professional mentoring, and a supportive creative community, helping makers build both their skills and sustainable careers alongside her own jewellery practice.

Jihyun Kim takes her ceramics stateside
Ceramic artist Jihyun Kim has made her way to Boston, Massachusetts for a six-week residency at Emmanuel College, where she is exploring new techniques including handbuilding, wheel throwing, and drawing.
Known for creating bold nature-inspired forms infused with magical narratives and cultural traditions, earlier this week Jihyun was invited by Harvard Ceramics to deliver a talk as a resident artist, sharing insights into her practice and creative journey.

A journey into Susan MacLeod's creative world
Jeweller Susan MacLeod creates sculptural pieces that feel like unearthed relics — fragments carrying traces of history, emotion, and human connection.
Last month, Susan welcomed a group from New York who travelled specially to London to learn more about her practice. During their visit, they explored her creative process through monoprinting, design drawings, and jewellery making, and developed their own responses to Susan’s way of working.
The experience was made even more special by Cockpit ceramicist Ho Lai, who created a set of bespoke mugs and plates as a gift for each participant.
